As per section 27 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 the State Government  shall make available to the Commission such police and investigative staff under an officer not below the rank of I.G of Police  and such other officers and staff as may be necessary for the efficient performance of the functions of the State Commission . Accordingly Government had constituted a team of investigation wing in the KSHRC to assist the I.G vide  SRO 335/2000 dated 17. 4.2000
